Our Beliefs

The following is not meant to be an exhaustive statement of faith, but simply a brief summary of what we believe.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God supernaturally inspired, that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration, so that it is a divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was born both God and man, that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, that He was crucified, died, and willingly shed His blood as a penalty for our sins and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day.  Later, He ascended to the Father's right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to the earth to set up His Millennial Kingdom.

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, is God, and possesses all the divine attributes.  He indwells all believers, baptizes and seals all believers at the moment of their salvation, and fills them in response to confession of sin and yielding to Him.

We believe in the Pre-Tribulation rapture of the church.  We also believe that the Millennial reign of Christ will occur after the seven year Tribulation Period.

We are Baptist in doctrine and belief.  We fellowship with only those churches of like faith and doctrine.  We are an acitive member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches.  We oppose any participation or cooperation with the National Council of Churches, the World Council of Churches, Neo-Evangelicals, and Charismatics.

We believe that the gifts of tongues, prophesy, and faith healing are not gifts for the Church today.

We believe that it is the responsibility of every born-again believer to be scripturally baptized into the body of a local, visible New Testament church.  We believe that the local church is the spiritual body of Christ, the temple of God, the house of God, the pillar and ground of the truth, and the organism through which God is reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
