Pastor David Lanquist has served as the Senior Pastor of Riley Creek Baptist Church since July 2002. With a heart for biblical preaching, pastoral care, and discipleship, he is committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through the faithful teaching of God's Word.
Pastor Lanquist earned his Bachelor's degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minnesota, and later completed a Master's degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. His ministry experience spans more than four decades of serving local churches and shepherding God's people.
Following his graduation from Pillsbury, Pastor Lanquist served as Youth Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Southington, Connecticut, from 1982 to 1988. In 1988, he accepted the call to become Pastor of Faith Bible Church in Agawam, Massachusetts, where he faithfully ministered for nine years. In God's providence, He led Pastor Lanquist and his family to Riley Creek Baptist Church, where he has continued to serve since 2002.
Pastor Lanquist's ministry is characterized by expository preaching, a commitment to biblical truth, and a desire to see believers mature in their faith. He counts it a privilege to open God's Word each week and help people understand its timeless message and practical application for daily living.
Dave and his wife, Paula, have been blessed with three sons—Brandon, Austin, and Kyle. Together they are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Riley Creek church family and to witness God's faithfulness through the years.
